Great session with Ballet Cymru company dancers Jakob Myers, Jethro Paine, Sanea Singh and Kotone Sugiyama, filming passages of improvisation and experimenting with new approaches to creating compositions - including individual dancers striking and holding poses which the next responded to, and then the next, and then the next, which we'd never tried before. The dancers' friendships and experience of working closely together in various productions greatly informed the session, which I shall attempt to reflect in any paintings.
I have several ideas for pictures which I'm looking forward to working on in the coming months, including, hopefully, a few canvases.
