Lovely session playing with props and shadows with Riz Golden of National Dance Company Wales.
Further inspired by Drtikol, I've made a range of hoops of various sizes - some stretched with muslin and other fabrics - and am introducing them portraiture and life drawing composition. As with the use of cubiod forms in the studio, I’m intrigued by models’ ideas re interacting with these simple geomentric shapes, and with the potential to explore lighting effects and arrangements of colour, etc. Poses are often very spontaneous and intuitive, drawing on relationships between lines of the human figure and those of simple geometric shapes.
Many thanks to Riz! For further information about her practice, please see here. For National Dance Company Wales, here.
