Portraits and Dance - MOMA Machynlleth, March 28th to May 9th

Delighted to be exhibiting again at MOMA Machynlleth - my third show at the beautiful mid-Wales  gallery.

The exhibition features thirty-five works from the past ten years - predominently pictures made with dancers - including National Dance Company Wales, Ballet Cymru, and James Wliton Dance - though also  (in nods to my 2007 and 2014 shows) a small nude and three portraits of comedians.

Sorting though pictures has been an interesting experience, and I finally settled on a fairly varied selection, ranging from paintings of solitary figures from my Lockdown Dancers series, to works inspired by rehearsals and studio collaborations, as well as more formal, traditional portraiture.

Also very happy that the exhibition will coincide with this year's Machynlleth Comedy Festival - May 1st to 3rd - at which MOMA's Y Tabernacl will again be a key venue, and during which I'll be running my regular portraiture/figure drawing workshop (with comedians modelling)  in the gallery's art studio.

I'm very grateful to the gallery and to everyone else involved in the exhibition, and am looking forward to hearing visitors' thoughts.
