Great to be back at Machynlleth Comedy Festival and our regular portraiture workshop at Y Tabernacl - always a treat, but especially so this time after the extended break.
Sunday morning saw an enthusiastic group of artist festival-goers assemble to draw the marvellous Elf Lyons and Marcel Lucont (aka Alexis Dubus) - making charcoal portraits from two- to ten-minute poses, as well as responding to the models' nude tableaux (including a dramatic depiction of brave Perseus battling Medusa. See final image, top left). Much fun, and, as ever, lots of beautiful work.
Hats off to all who took part - some of whom had never drawn from life before - and huge thanks to Alexis, Elf, Y Tabernacl, and Machynlleth Comedy Festival.
