This little painting is a response to the final moments of choreographer Patricia Vallis’s piece Countermove, created with the wonderful dancers of Ballet Cymru’s Pre-Professional Programme. It’s something of a callback to a much larger painting, As We Are (BC 163), which depicted the 2019 Pre-Pros in a piece by Emma Lewis.
