This picture of Mara Galeazzi (and a second one) was commissioned by Stephen Hutchings, who sadly died a few days after I painted it.
Regrettably, I never met Stephen, though understood from our correspondence that he had a passionate love of dance, and was a great admirer and friend of Mara, for whom he commissioned the paintings.
